The mission of Teen Mom Connection is to take pregnant and parenting teens and pair them with Christian women in a mentoring relationship. This relationship encourages girls to grow into confident parents and responsible adults.

 

At the heart of our ministry is the idea of a relationship: the relationship between a teen mom and her mentor, the relationship between a teen mom and other teen moms in the program and a relationship between a teen mom and God. 

 

We meet twice a month, once for an informational meeting, and once for a fun activity. Usually, the informational meetings involve a speaker who will provide information that is relevant to teen moms, such as parenting or college. Our fun activities can be anything -- a barbecue, picnic at the park, visit to a museum...anything fun, child-centered, and local.

 

There is nothing like bonding during summer adventures, so that is why TMC goes on an annual summer camp. Previously and continuously we lodge at Donner Summit. We have done everything from outdoors camping, and even planned a trip to Disneyland. This allows a great bonding experience for the girls and their mentors, other teen moms, and with their children.
