Always Love You First!

Is this really something that needs to be addressed in today's society. I think yes! Social Decorum tells us we should look a certain way, we should dress a certain way, and we should do certain things. They claim that we should do whatever makes us happy! Well living up to everyone standards and being self-centered is not putting ourselves first. I am not saying to look homeless and have no personal hygiene because it is too much work (but if that is what it takes for you to put yourself first then please do so). I am saying that putting yourself first is very important if you want to live a happy life and if you want to be happy with other people.

The truth is that not everyone is going to like love or respect you. There is nothing you can do about that. Let me let you in on a secret.... Not everyone loves themselves, therefore, they can not love you or anyone else for that matter. You do not need to compare yourself to others simply because there is no comparison. We were all made uniquely different. You have to like, love and respect yourself first before anything else. This is exactly what society wants from us. They want us to compare ourselves to others so we will do whatever it takes to have that perfect body, hair, teeth, face and even feet. You name it and I am sure there is a market for it. The God honest truth is that we are not perfect and if we were created to be perfect then we would all be identical. Try to recognize something very different about yourselves whether it is a flaw or a talent, learn how to love it. Because darling that thing that makes you different is who you are and is the same thing that makes you great.

I love you, the you that you were created from birth to be! I hope if you haven't found it that you will look for it passionately for it is your life that depends on it.
